Traditional Middle Eastern Food

                                                                 Dolma

Dolma is a heritage dish with a history from many cultures and countries, especially in the Middle East and the Mediterranean. The dolma dish is made from grape leaves or sometimes stuffed vegetables. The meaning of the word dolma is originally Turkish, and its meaning is “to be stuffed.” Dolma is considered a luxurious main dish in Turkish cuisine, and the filling for Turkish dolma is often rice with herbs, currants, and minced meat. As for Greece, It is a little different, as it is based on grape leaves and a filling of rice and herbs. It is called “dolmades.” I think that most people in the United States have tasted this delicious dish in Greek restaurants. Dolma is also known in other countries such as the Arab countries, Armenia and Persia

The method of serving is different in each country, some of which are served cold and some are served hot. This dish has the ability to adapt to different cultures, and each cuisine adds to it a special flavor related to the traditions of that country

I will present to you my own method of making dolma. Ingredients: Rice, minced meat, tomato paste, garlic spices, dolma, green pepper, eggplant, zucchini, onion, grape leaves, pomegranate molasses, salt, lemon. How to make The filling is rice, minced meat, salt, crushed garlic, tomato paste, pomegranate molasses, and dolma spices. We put the filling aside and prepare the vegetables. We dig them up and prepare them for the filling, and we stuff the vegetables and leaves. Grapes and put them in a pot and make the sauce, which is a paste, water and salt mixed together and put the sauce on the stuffed vegetables and leaves and put it on the fire for an hour and a half and then serve it hot

The method of making dolma is long and tiring, which is why it is preferable to make it on occasions such as Christmas or Easter because it contains high calories for those who want to maintain their weight too.
But I like to share it with  the people who like to try different food from different countries like me!
